Rebekah + Nathan's Engagement Session {West Lafayette, IN}

My sister Rebekah said "yes" last month in a flurry of snow. 

Fitting that their first round of engagement photos would be white. 

Rebekah: vivacious...tender-hearted...industrious

Nathan: steadfast...chivalrous...daredevil

Together: adventurous...God pursuing...dreamers

Cabin by the Water

 A night away before med school classes resume. 

Heat and light from kerosene lamps, wood burning stove, and campfire,

crescent moon ornamenting charcoal sky,

cold, cloudy breath,

shimmering embers,

red long johns,

a mouse friend scurrying over head.

So passed a winter's night in the cabin by the water. 

New Year's Piñata

A glittering piñata showering our resolutions, or "pursuits," for 2014. 

"A place I'd like to visit...a book I'd like to read...a person I hope to be more like." 

 We read the slips aloud and guessed the culprit...

My prediction is, this year's going to be smashing.

5th Year Wedding Anniversary Photos - O Christmas Tree

Our toes were frozen. 

But our hearts were warm.

We fairly danced through the fresh fallen snow to McCord Candies to watch golden amber syrup spun into creamy white, ruby swirled peppermint sticks. 

Sweetly invigorating.

Tours are every Saturday and Sunday in December from noon-4!

Supplies: silk flowers, hot glue gun, notebook (I used a Moleskine), & scissors

Directions: Cut flowers from stems and hot glue to notebook

Paper Doll Bridal Shower Invites

I designed these paper doll invites for a friend's bachelorette party a while ago (modified from this 1957 Barbie paper doll set), but through a series of unfortunate events they weren't able to be used. 

I thought I'd make the pdf available here so that another hostess might be able to modify them for her shower. 

To ward-off confusion, the bride and groom's name are to be added before and after the "&." 

Also, when you click the below link, to view the pdf, the bride looks washed-out. Once downloaded, the quality is as pictured above.
