Golden Flower Field Family Mini Sessions {Indianapolis, IN}

I came upon this field by chance. Rather as a result of a mistake made by poor preparation. I was disappointed and trying to make up for lost time when I glimpsed this sea of yellow. The kids and I made this field our plans and popped out to explore and eat our picnic lunch. I have never offered mini sessions before but I knew I wanted to magnify this field before it faded. So two days later I captured three families in this glorious gold.

Greta Livingston's Trail Walk Newborn Session {Indianapolis, IN}

The Livingston family chose this trail for their session. A river on one side and cars zooming by on the other. Green and blue in the midst of the city. Their Sabbath ritual is walking this trail from their home and the boys showed me their special spots: a sandbar by the water, the rocks where turtles sunbathe, and the trees full of purple mulberries ripe for staining hands and cheeks. Little Greta got lots of kisses from her three big brothers and it won’t be long until she’ll be running alongside them on this path.

Ward's Morning Sunburst Family Session

When my cousin Clare and her family were in for the Fourth of July I wrangled them into some (almost) sunrise family photos at the park. They are some of the most welcoming and hospitable people I know. They bake a mean biscuit and style a room as comfy as it is gorgeous. I am so glad we get to do life together with our soggy bottom gang (aka toddlers and babies)!

The effervescent Lyons. They shared during our family session that they have not had photos taken since their wedding! What?!! I was honored to be their first family photographer! Such a fun evening to spend walking around White River Gardens capturing their silly sweet crew!
